I hope this finds you all doing well. It has turned out to be another nice weekend. Mild temps and a gentile rain are helping the garden get better and better.
Great news, the Brookhaven Farmers Market opens thus Saturday from 9-12 @ the Brookhaven Baptist Church at 1294 North Druid Hills Road.
This week we will have a fantastic braising greens mix of baby chard, baby collards and baby kale. We are going have a nice bunch of beet greens, mixed kale, turnip greens, mustard greens, wonderful lettuces, sugar peas, mixed radishes, Swiss chard, mushrooms and more.
The pork cuts this week range from ground pork, 1/2 rack ribs, ham, Boston butt, shanks, hocks and tenderloin. We also have a few more of our heritage hogs. They are going to be good. You can also order a special BBQ pigs. They weigh in about 30-40lbs. They will be ready to roast whole.
The BBQ pigs are special order and the hogs are being reserved for fall harvest.
Remember you have at least 21 meals to plan for this week, 28+ if you include your snacks. We hope some of your selections come from our efforts.

PS: The Crop Mob is coming out to “mob” Double B Farm on Sunday May 5. They will arrive at 10 am and work till 1 pm. From 1-2 we will enjoy one or our heritage hogs, fresh salad, potato salad and fresh strawberries from the garden. There is no cost for the even but the returns will be great.
